This evening a hotfix patch is being propped to the Test Server.

The contents of this patch are as follows:

• Some recently discovered security holes were fixed
• The Refining System has been changed to be a flat rate of 1000 gold per retrain (base cost) and the timer was disabled.
• Fixed the trade bug when one player is coming out of stealth and initiates a trade.
• Runemasters should continue protecting assets when changing Guild Leaders or Charters now.

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 Ubisoft will be performing preventive maintenance to all services hosted at the Montreal Data Center, including online game systems, between the hours of 11:00 PM and 1:00AM (EST). This means that the Shadowbane Game Servers and the Chronicle Website services will be disrupted while this maintenance is performed.

All Bane Circles, and Buildings of War associated with said Bane Circles, that are subject to go Live during this time frame will be removed. Both Attackers and Defenders will be reimbursed for any assets removed. All reimbursements will be in contract form and will be placed inside the bank of the owner of the assets removed.

Due to an increase in server populations on both Malog and Saedron, we have decided to release the back-up server Thurin, an ARAC server, to ease the tension on the current servers. We had a backup plan ready and in place just for this reason. So, if you aren't enjoying the lag of Malog or Saedron, feel free to pick up on Thurin, the Dwarven God's Server!

Today, March 19, 2008; the Shadowbane Service has been brought offline in anticipation of the new servers on March 25, 2008. The original "Offline Date" was adjusted to ensure enough time for all of the preparations to be made for a smooth transition from the old servers to the new.

Shadowbane will be back on March 25, 2008 with two new servers; Malog and Saedron. For more information on the changes that have been made in anticipation of the new servers, please click this link.

Malog will be the ARAC (All Races all Classes) server and Saedron will be the Loreplay (Guild and Grouping Restrictions apply) server.

While Shadowbane is on vacation, we invite you to begin looking for a guild, enlisting new members, and engaging in political discussions on the new server forums!

The following changes have been made with this iteration:

• Disabled collision on the Demolished Mine Tower Asset, fixing the exploit.
• Adjusted the power Skirmish Counterspell's recast time to scale from 60 seconds to 20 seconds from PR-20 to PR-40.
• Disallowed Player Cities to be placed on the Expansion Islands. This shouldn't cause any problems with pre-existing cities, but they also won't be able to be sieged, either.
